Leaders of Rutgers Pro-Israel Community Meet for Dinner

Last evening, more than twenty students arrived to Rutgers Hillel for a special dinner organized by Rutgers Hillel Center for Israel Engagement (RHCIE) and Raffi Mark ’13, Israel Chair at Rutgers Hillel's student board. The dinner attendees enjoyed an Israeli dinner prepared by Lihi Rothshild, Rutgers Hillel’s Israel Program Coordinator.

One of RHCIE goals is to create alignment between all the pro-Israel organizations’ fellows that are active on the Rutgers campus. In order to achieve this goal, RHCIE staff organized this special dinner for all the students that create pro-Israel programs at Rutgers. The students that attended the dinner are fellows of the following organizations: World Zionist Organization, Stand With Us, Camera, Hasbara Fellowships, Christians United for Israel, the Israel on Campus Coalition (ICC), and MASA Israel, while other students represent local initiatives, such as the Hebrew club; Scarlet, Blue, and White; and RHCIE’s Rutgers Israel Fellows program. The conversations during the dinner included how members of the pro-Israel community can assist each other and best practices to outreach the wider campus community.

According to Hillel Segal, the ICC/MZ foundation Fellow, this dinner was the first time that all the Israel activists on campus had a change to meet, discuss common goals, to network, and better connect with other students passionate about Israel
